Bubble Magic Show to Give Unique Perspective to Math and Science
The Arkansas Discovery Network, funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, brings amazing bubble show to museum partners throughout the state

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Feb. 28, 2007) – What do carousels, volcanoes and a break-dancing caterpillar made of soap bubbles have to do with math and science? Tom Noddy, the Bubble Guy, makes good, clean and yes, educational fun with his amazing show, Bubble Magic, which will be touring Arkansas this May and June.

Bubble Magic has been seen on television shows all over the world — including Johnny Carson and more recently, The Late Show with David Letterman on Feb. 27. Noddy has blown audiences away with his bubbles at universities, physics and mathematics conferences, science and discovery centers, nightclubs, corporate events, and other entertainment and education venues.

Engaging children in science and math can be a challenge, but Bubble Magic makes many of these concepts — from angles and shapes to nature and physics — fun not only to children but to adults as well.

In addition to the show, the “Bubble Lab” will be available for children and families to experiment with making their own bubble creations.  Extension lessons will be available for teachers to extend this experience into the classroom.

Bubble Magic will be touring through Arkansas in May and June. Following is the schedule (please check with each museum for exact dates and times of shows):

  • May 17, 18 and 19 — Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas in Pine Bluff
  • May 21, 22 and 23 — The University of Arkansas Center for Math and Science Education in Fayetteville
  • June 1, 2 and 3 — Mid America Science Museum in Hot Springs
  • June 8, 9 and 10 — Arkansas State University Museum in Jonesboro
  • June 14, 15 and 16 — Museum of Discovery in Little Rock
  • June 21, 22 and 23 — Discovery Place Children’s Museum, Texarkana Museums System in Texarkana
  • June 28, 29 and 30 — Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources in Smackover
