Good Vibrations

Good VibrationsYou can check out Good Vibrations: Light, Sound and Motion in Fayetteville, presented by the Center for Math and Science Education at Walton Arts Center until July 12. Then it travels to Pine Bluff where it will open at the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas on July 19.

This collection of innovative, inquiry-based exhibits was developed and built especially for the Arkansas Discovery Network by the world-renowned Exploratorium in San Francisco. Through hands-on investigation, boys and girls of all ages will be engaged in learning about weather, sound, light, geology and motion.

The Race for Planet "X" Visits Arkansas Children's Hospital

Planet X at Arkansas Children's HospitalRace for Planet XOur mobile museum, The Race for Planet "X", visited Arkansas Children's Hospital on Tuesday, June 17. A little over 40 kids came on board the truck. Derrick Warren, Outreach Educator on the Race for Planet "X," said “The kids were very genuine and appreciative of me being there. They really enjoyed Planet 'X' and I enjoyed bringing it to them.”

Our Body: The Universe Within

Mid-America Science Museum is hosting Our Body: The Universe Within. This exhibit literally goes "under the skin" to reveal the mysteries of the human anatomy through a riveting presentation of fascinating and ACTUAL human specimens. The exhibit features bodies and anatomical displays preserved to expose the inner workings of the human anatomy.

Our Body will be at Mid-America Science Museum in Hot Springs until September 28.

For more information, go to www.midamericamuseum.org.

The mission of the Network is to bring world-class educational experiences to the children and families of Arkansas. A generous grant of $7.3 million from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation initiated the Network and made the programs possible.
