Kids' Quest Member Events Across the State

Arkansas State University Museum in Arkansas State University MuseumJonesboro held Dia de los Muertos on November 2nd. Approximately 300 kids and adults from the university and surrounding area had a great time. From scientists to schoolchildren, families came together and listened to live traditional music, ate custom-crafted Day of the Dead breads, drank Horchata and Mexican sodas, and made clay skeletons, masks, and flowers. Parents were heard to say, "My kids are having so much fun, I can't drag them away from the Museum." This event, a collaboration between the ASU Museum and the Hispanic and Latino communities, was so well received that Dia de los Muertos will become an annual event.
